How do I change the icon that appears on my desktop

I got the wrong one because my Quicken file is in a download file.

And here's what mine looks like.  NOTE, that for both @splasher and I, the desktop icon is actually to a shortcut to the Q program ... and not the icon for the program itself.

Did you download a banking .QFX file to your desktop - for Quicken to import ?
BUT ... if the file "suffix" is .QFX - but Windows does not associate it with Quicken,
then you get something other than big red Q -
    OR ? -
If you "right-click" on it - and then click on "Properties" what does it show .....

    Delete your current desktop icon.
In Windows, navigate to the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken.
Right-click on the qw.exe file and choose Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).

Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier Subscription on Win10 Pro.
