I've been using Quicken for MAC since 2017 and for Windows way before that..... Only had to pay one time purchase. Now you telling me I have to pay every year? I thought Jesse James was dead! I don't want all the fansy bells and whistles.... just want QB.... (I do like to have access to updated stock quotes.... Do I have to pay annual for just that?

QB = QuickBooks. Are you asking about Quicken? Yes you need a current subscription even to just download quotes. If you stay on the old version you can still use it manually. And actually Quicken was always sort of a subscription. If you wanted to keep downloading transactions and using any online services you had to buy a new version at least every 3 years.Quicken Discontinuation Policy...0

If all you want is to download security prices, you can do it by downloading data ina CSV data file format. Quicken will still read in that data without a subscription. On the otherhand, if you want to import data directly from a FI/bank or using the QFX dowload format, you will need an active subscription.
As pointed out, the main change in Quicken's model is that the time frame for free data import has changed from about 3 yrs to about 1-2 yrs based on the subscription length you purchase. TIP: shop around at third parties for good pricing or look for large occasional specials from Quicken (40% off sale a couple of weeks ago).

SMAYER97,
This would be great….. but I tried. Went to my Finance Yahoo account and exported a quotes.CVS file. Went to Quicken an attempted to “import” that file. The only option on the file “import” screen was mint.com CVS file. I attempted to import the CVS file I created from yahoo. No good. Said can only import CVS file from mint.com. Went to mint.com could not find any way to create a quote.cvs file. Chatted with mint.com help. Said mint.com can not build a quote.CVS file…. So I’m full circle and frustrated…. What am I doing wrong?
HELP!

No, info applies to both QWin and QMac. I'm no expert on security price import but I wonder if you are using the wrong import option, as there are more than one. Can you specify your exact steps?
