Quicken is moving to a new Bill Pay platform to improve your experience. Quicken Bill Manager offers two ways to easily pay your bills with Quicken:

  • Quick Pay: Send electronic payments to billers (payees) who have online accounts accessible by Quicken. This includes over 11,000 billers.
  • Check Pay: Send a check to anyone in the United States with an address. The check is sent through a Quicken service. You will no longer need to print or mail checks
If you're a current Quicken Bill Pay user, your services will be discontinued on 5/31/20.  You will receive more information in an email from Quicken about this discontinuation.  To replace Quicken Bill Pay, Quicken has created Quicken Bill Manager, which enables you to continue paying your bills via Quick Pay and Check Pay without ever needing to leave Quicken.

Quicken Bill Manager will continue to be a free option for Premier and Home & Business customers, and is available for Quicken Windows and Mac subscription versions.  If you're a current Bill Pay user on a different version of Quicken, you'll receive an email detailing your new services, which should be an improvement on your current experience!

If you've recently signed up for Quicken Bill Pay, that process will continue until it's complete.  In the meantime, you can use Quicken Bill Manager.  If you have Quicken Bill Pay, you can use both Quicken Bill Pay and Quicken Bill Manager at the same time, however, Quicken Bill Pay will stop working on 5/31/20, so we recommend that you transition to Quicken Bill Manager.  New Quicken Bill Pay signup will no longer be available after 3/7/20.

We hope this new experience will be a big improvement in your experience paying bills with Quicken.  For more information on this service, please see our site here.

    Hi All,
There are a few points of confusion around the migration to Quicken Bill Manager, so let me answer a few of the more common questions here:

Can I schedule payments with Quicken Bill Manager?
Update: Yes.  You can now create future-dated payments with both Quicken for Windows and Mac with Quicken Bill Manager.

Recurring scheduled payments are still in the works.  We know this is a big concern to users, and we're working on this feature so we can get this to you as quickly as possible.  In order to make sure that we could continue to provide you with bill payment capabilities after the discontinuation of Quicken Bill Pay, we focused on ensuring the core functionality of bill pay continues to work for you, but this is certainly not the end of our development of the feature!

Who can use Quicken Bill Manager?
If you are a current Quicken Bill Pay user, you can use Quicken Bill Manager.  Also, if you are a Quicken Premier or above subscriber, you have access to free Quicken Bill Manager.  New subscribers on Deluxe or below versions of Quicken will not have access to Bill Manager until June/July as a paid add-on.   You will need to be on the Subscription Quicken product to use Quicken Bill Manager.

How many payments do I get?
There are currently two payment tiers: one for Existing Bill Pay users, and one for new Bill Manager users.

    Existing Quicken Bill Pay Users:
Premier and higher: 12 Quick Pay and 6 Check Pay payments per month.
Deluxe and lower (paying $9.95/month): 15 Quick Pay and 15 Check Pay

New Quicken Bill Manager Users (users who do not use Quicken Bill Pay):
Premier and higher: 12 Quick Pay and 3 Check Pay payments per month
Deluxe and lower: Quicken Bill Manager is not yet available, but will be as an add on in the future.

There is no current way to add more payments to your total monthly payments, but we are working to provide this option.  If you reach your payment 'limit' for the month, you will see a message that you can't make more payments.

Do I need to cancel my old Quicken Bill Pay account?
If you plan on continuing to use Quicken Bill Manager when Quicken Bill Pay discontinues, you should not cancel your account.  Bill Pay will simply no longer work on 5/31/20.

If you no longer want to use Quicken Bill Pay or Quicken Bill Manager, then you can cancel Quicken Bill Pay, or simply wait for 5/31/20.

As more questions emerge, we will continue to update this announcement.  Please follow this announcement to be notified of new information by clicking the yellow star icon at the top of the thread.
