Please compare Deluxe and Premier for tracking my investments

I want to track the value of my investments frequently. Can Deluxe do that, or do I need Premier?

    Hi @catwood,

Go to this link to see a side-by-side comparison of the various Quicken versions  https://www.quicken.com/compare

You'll see that Deluxe has an investment tracking feature while the higher versions allow for more analysis.

Let me know if you have any specific follow-up questions.

Yes, I saw that comparison but I wasn't sure if the Deluxe tracking feature had some limits, like forcing me to enter each investment manually. I want to click one button and see a screen with everything I own. If it works the same for Deluxe and Premium I'll be delighted. Do you know that?
  • I just bought Quicken Deluxe 2020 for MAC to change over from my old Quicken Deluxe for Windows on a computer that crashed. What a huge disappointment!

In the Windows version, I could assign my own names to types and groups and display my portfolio grouped by either type or group. In the 2020 MAC version, types and groups are preset and I can't display my portfolio grouped by either preset types or present groups. Incredibly misleading to call both versions "Deluxe."

Further, the description of the MAC Premier version does not describe whether these features available in the old Windows version are available the MAC Premier.

@GordonBennett As you have seen the Windows and Mac versions are quite different.  And even though they are working towards the Mac "parity" version with the Windows one, they are far from it, and how you do things in the different versions can be pretty different.

The disparity between the Premier editions is even greater.  The Mac Premier version has almost no extra features over the Deluxe.
(I'm always using the latest Quicken Windows Premier subscription version)

The only difference I see is Bill Pay. I currently use my Bank's or Merrill Lynch's bill pay, which I assume is still possible as this is through their websites.
