Home Quicken for Windows Download, Add/Update Accounts (Windows)

Why am I prompted to "Select safepass device" 4 times? In each instance I enter the requested code.

I am prompted to "Select safepass device" 4 times for the same account for each cycle of One Step Update.
- I select the device
- Receive the code, and
- Enter the code
each time.
Sometimes the download works. Other times we move on to the Window about a possible password problem and need to try again.
Eventually it does work.
Why must I go through this with every One Step Update?

How about "because Q doesn't support SafePass ... or any other 3rd party security".
You're Lucky when it DOES work.

Do you imply it is unsafe to use the SafePass approach and I would be much safer to simply download update files from the bank for integration?

    Hello @Curt Herge

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. By chance do you have 2 Factor authentication enabled on the banks side? Generally when we do see this continually it does have a part to do in 2fa.

I would also recommend  looking at our support article here if you'd like more information about what's going in with this issue.

Please let us know if this helps resolve the issue for you.

    Thanks,

Please look at the picture attached to my original question.
You will find the answer to your question.
    Yes.

So, again, why am I prompted to "Select safepass device" 4 times for the same account for each cycle of One Step Update?

Do you have multiple (as in 4 accounts) with BoA?

That might be why it is prompting multiple times.

Then I suspect that the "login" is done for each account and that is why you are getting all the prompting.  Whether they could do it all in one login is basically impossible to say without seeing what the financial institution provides to Intuit for Express Web Connect (Quicken Inc pays Intuit for the Express Web Connect service).
