Thank you for
reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. Generally when balances aren't showing chronologically it's caused by the column sorting being not on date.
You'll see here that on the column headings inside the register that there's a little blue arrowhead by the date column. go ahead and click on the date column header and that should cause the sorting to go chronologically again. You can also click on it again depending whether you want the newest transaction to be on the top or the bottom.
