Quicken 2017 upgrade question

I received a message that if I don't upgrade from Quicken 2017 to the latest version by the end of April 2020 I won't be able to get updated quotes, downloads, etc... When I then click the link to upgrade and attempt to get the latest version, I get a message that says my subscription doesn't end until November 2020 and come back at that time to upgrade. Does anyone have any insight on what I should do? Thanks

Sounds like you bought the new subscription Quicken and did not install it. Login to Quicken.com "MyAccount" and download the Quicken installation program for your OS and run the install program. When asked to register the program, be sure to use the Quicken Id that you used to download the program.-splasher using Q since 1996 - Subscription - Win10
-also older versions as needed for testing

If you have a subscription that expires in Nov 20 then you are using a more up to date version than Q2017, hence the expiry of downloads to Q2017 is irrelevant to you.
To confirm that, look at Help > About Quicken, it will tell you what version you are running and when your membership expires.US Quicken Deluxe for Windows Subscription R28.16 on Windows 10 Pro v20040 -
Thanks Dan but still a little confused. When I follow your instructions it says I'm using Q2017 Release 19.8 (the latest release when I check for updates ) but no expiration date on the subscription under Help>About Quicken. It's when I log into Quicken.com that it says my subscription doesn't expire until November 27, 2020. Should I just assume as you mentioned that ignore any messages that says I won't be able to download anything after April 30, 2020? Thanks, Larry0

Hi
Read this FAQ and comment back with additional information: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7307115/add-your-quicken-information-to-your-posts-plus-how-you-are-connected-to-the-internet
Log into your My Account at: https://www.quicken.com/ My Account
See what is going on. Do you have Download Quicken in your Account?
You might have purchased Quicken Subscription back in November, 2019 from Quicken, Inc and did not realize that it got activated automatically.
Purchasing from a Retailer, comes with an Activation Code. Buying directly from Quicken, before Quicken 2017 expires, was a mistake. You lost time.

Read this procedure: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7844658/installing-reinstalling-windows-quicken-subscription-editions
There is no Upgrade path to Quicken Subscription Program from within Quicken 2017 program.

Where on the outside of the Quicken 2017 product marketing box does it say it has an expiration of April 2020? I just found out that I am not getting 3yrs of service that was advertised. Where did it say “3yrs of service until April 2020”. How would I have known his without opening and installing the software? (at which point you cannot return it) Is this expiration date embedded in the EULA (that everybody reads thoroughly). Thanks Deron0

It's 3 years from when they originally released 2017. And actually you got about 3 1/2 years.

In case you don't still have the box to check for yourself, here's a photo of the relevant area, have a read of items 2 and 3.
