Transactions not totaling correctly

Hi gang,
I check in with my bank and see a few transactions have cleared, so I then move to Quicken to mark them cleared in the program. I'm coming up over by $12.07. I search for that total in my bank and see its a check I wrote for an Allergist I see. Then, I look at my transaction history in Quicken and find I entered that a couple of weeks ago.
There's no "missing" entry on Q when compared to my banking site.
The only way I can make Q match my bank is to enter the transaction a second time.
This has happened once or twice before and I've had to do the same thing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks-
Bill

I suggest you reconcile the register against the statements from the financial institution to determine the source of the discrepancy. If you haven't already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/how-reconcile-my-account-first-time-quicken0

Something you might try is to do a Global search for $12.07, and be sure that amount is a correct - (minus) or +(plus) amount and is in the register correctly. Also if you've been to the Allergist more that once with a $12.07 charge, be sure you can account for all credits and debits in that amount, using the info you got back from doing the $12.07 Global search (top search box on RH upper part of register) and or your bank statement.0
