Is there any way to format the watchlist on the homescreen?

The only means of editing the watchlist is to add or delete securities to the list. However, the format has columns that are too wide pushing out the quote to be cut off. Is there a way to right-size the columns or even delete any? It sure would make the watchlist more user friendly. thanks

In Quicken for Windows, under the Investing tab, Portfolio view you can create or use different views. Each view can show different columns, depending on your settings in the header column's "Show: [...]" field. Click the pulldown arrow at the right side of "Show: [...]" to see a selection list.

You can easily select (add or remove columns) by clicking the "Customize" button.
Column width can be changed by moving the mouse pointer over the vertical column separator line "|" between columns in the column header row. When the mouse pointer changes to "<->" click, hold and drag left or right as needed.

Thank you and I welcome that flexibility in the investing tab. I wish the same flexibility for formatting the info was available on the watchlist which I include on my home page.

From what I can see, none of the panels on the Home tab has adjustable column widths.

I had missed your "on the homescreen", meaning one of the views on the Home tab. Sorry about that.

And I must admit, I had never used that function before, in well over 20 years of using Quicken.  There's always something new to discover in Quicken.
I wonder, how many Quicken customers are out there, actually using it ...

Long story short, I just experimented with it and found out the following:
Adding the Watch List view to a customized home view, at the bottom of the view, as #6, gave me a view that was 1/2 the width of the home page view

Too narrow to be useful. Does not shrink the Name column to the width of the view panel and requires scrolling to be able to see the quote price.

Moving the view to the top position on the Home view gave me a wider view that now covered the full width of the Home view:

More useful, because it now showed all columns without scrolling, but I would have preferred being able to use the narrower view, if it had adapted itself to show the data without the need for scrolling. This wide view is a little too wide for my liking.

I'm going to ask a Community Moderator to change this discussion into an Idea. Ideas are brought to the attention of the software developers, for review and possible addition to Quicken in a future release.
I would like to see this view enhanced to make a little smarter use of the available line width without wasting a lot of white space.

If you would like to see this enhancement made in a future version of Quicken please don't forget to vote on it. Locate the big blue box near the top of this webpage (or page 1 for long discussions) and click the "Up" triangle under the voting count.

Wait a moment for the vote count to be registered and updated before you continue.
The little triangle changes from grey to black when you have registered your vote.
Adding extra comments helps, but does not increment the vote count.

Just the ability to change the order of columns would help -- one could start

with current price!

This may not be an item requested by many, but it would certainly help if the Watch List view in the Home tab would be able to adapt itself to the width of the view to properly show data for all columns. See the above images and explanations to review.
