Getting Pop-Up "Action Needed: Important Quicken Update Available" But Already Current

Since yesterday, I am getting periodic popups telling me to "Help -> Check for updates" or manually download the update (most recent Canada update is R25.22). I am already on R25.22, so neither is appropriate. Normally, I am notified of new updates through One Step Update. Does anyone know what is triggering this pop-up?

Thanks, Norbert

    Hello @Norbert

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. It is odd that you're repeatedly getting the message. Although I know you're on the current version could you try following and installing the mondo patch here. We can take a look and see if we're able to get the message to disappear.

Please let us know how it goes!.

     Thanks,

@DebDoc64 thanks for the confirmation. I am reluctant to install what ought to be an unnecessary 200MB+ Mondo patch just to remove a pop-up that I have never seen in the past and contains instructions that on my system suggest no patch is required. This issue needs to be diagnosed properly, not 'made to go away'.

    Hello everyone

@DebDoc64 Thank you for trying the mondo patch and confirming that it did not work.

Being that the issue that we are experiencing can have multiple causes-- I recommend reaching out to Quicken Support instead as you may need extensive troubleshooting done in order to have this successfully resolved.

How did you determine that it's unnecessary? From your description, your version of Q isn't properly installed.  The Mondo Patch is the 1st step of trying to remedy that.
AND you have no way of knowing if her problem was the same as yours ... of even if she's running the same product since you're running Q Canada.

@Quicken Francisco, thanks for your help. I called Quicken Support and was told that the only problem determination involved uninstalled and reinstalling Quicken. I mentioned that someone else had the same problem but that did not get me anywhere.

What happens when you uncheck the box "Remind me later"?

This message appears every 2 times on opening Quicken. The only way to make it disappear is to unchek the "Remind me later" box.

I am getting the same pop up message, but my version is current. It didn't show yesterday but it does the morning. Is this message supposed to show up for the US version and not the Canadian version.

After unsuccessfully dealing with first level Quicken support, I escalated to a supervisor who listened to my concerns and requested that I submit my issue through Quicken "Help -> Report a problem" under the "Patch & upgrade" category. I have just done this. He also asked others experiencing the problem to follow the same procedure so that Quicken Development can better identify the cause.
