Improve Savings Goals [edited]

Is there any plans to improve the functionality of savings goals to make them better fit the windows characteristics? There have been significant Quicken improvments and fixes in many areas, but savings goals have not be changed and are very cumbersome to use in a windows operating environment. Savings goal are very useful tool for budgeting.

    Hi Glenn,
Thank you for your feedback. Please tell us more as to the exact parts that cause friction now, and how do you imagine an improvement to better facilitate what you are trying to do? Please tell us the whole story so we can better understand what you envision.

I would envision a simple solution. Follow the budget format with saving goals be listed similar to budget entries, but of course having appropriate savings goal info. The current format of showing a larger box for each savings goal provides little value and in a windows environment with a touch screen it doesn't work like other screens.

Has there been any thought on how/when something will be done to either upgrade the savings goals or at least improve it in the windows environment. I see it has been referenced as a tool in the Feb 2021 Quicken update email, but I don't see where it has had any improvement in the windows environment.

I have been a Quicken user for many years and many versions. I have asked this question in the past but will try again. Maybe I will get a positive response.

The savings goal feature has not been kept current with upgrades that have been made to many other feature areas of Quicken. The presentation aspect of looking at savings goals if very limiting, as is the ability to update or manage a goal. As I stated in the past, the savings goal feature is like the lost child of Quicken. The feature itself is extremely beneficial to home budgeting and financial management. It would benefit many if it was upgraded to be part of the mainstream product.

How do I get it on the list?

The way to make a suggestion that can be voted on is to go to the Home page and select New Post -> New Idea and then post it just like you have posted this question.

I would suggest that you post a more detailed suggestion than what you have posted here.
First off it is hard to implement a vague "make it more current/useful" kind of suggestion, but what's more you might not like what the Quicken developers consider "modern" at the moment (which changes over time).
