I downloaded and attempted to install the patch 2020 R25.22 (current version 2019 R25.22 and got BUGSPLAT dialogue box. I felt it best to avoid the rest of the installation. What should I do?

I would suggest deleting the installer app and re-download a new copy. Reboot your PC before attempting to install to avoid any lingering memory errors.

Hi Geoff,
I deleted the installer app and rebooted.Then I ran the "check for updates" from within Quicken. This seems to have worked.Thanks.
(the Bugsplat box was quite a surprise-coming from Quicken)0
