Home Quicken for Mac Errors and Troubleshooting (Mac)

Timeout downloading financial institution information from https://ofx-prod-brand.intuit.com/qm2400/

When importing transactions from financial institution, Quicken attempts to verify financial institution information using what looks like a REST call to https://ofx-prod-brand.intuit.com/qm2400/fib.dll. This is timing out. Thu URI is not responding to the request. What normally responds with an HTTP 200, now times out. I'm not sure why this REST call is needed for every import.
This is at least the second time this issue has occurred recently.

Note: this is not dependent on any one financial institution. This error occurs all accounts.

Assuming that you didn't try your download while the Quicken server took a quick downtime ...
Could this be a firewall issue, either personal firewall or corporate firewall, that is preventing Quicken from establishing outbound Internet connections? Check your firewall software logs.
Have you recently started using a VPN? Check if it's configured properly. Try turning it off to see if that makes a difference.
