RESOLVED 7/25/20: NEW 6/4/20: USAA Investment Account Transition to Schwab

Quicken SarahQuicken Sarah Administrator, Moderator mod
Hi All,

We have received confirmation that USAA Investment accounts have transitioned to the Charles Schwab financial institution.

If you are tracking USAA Investment accounts in Quicken, you may receive an error when attempting to add/update accounts.  To resolve this error, the investment account(s) will need to be deactivated and reactivated through Charles Schwab Co., & Inc. following the steps available here and here.

Please note that third party access may need to be allowed at the Schwab website before the account may be activated in Quicken.

To allow third party access, please logon to your account at Schwab's website and make sure that in your profile, Security Center, "Third Party Access" is set to "Allow".
Wait 1-2 minutes before you attempting to add/update the account(s) from Quicken again.

Quicken Mac users: Make sure that the account is connected to Schwab using the "Direct Connect" connection method by clicking the "options" button in the Add Account screen.

USAA customers may have already been notified of this change in the USAA account message center and performed the steps necessary to transition to the accounts to Schwab, if so and errors/issues persist, please contact Quicken Support for assistance with troubleshooting and resolving the error.

Thank you!
