Ez-Pass

Does anyone know if a NYS Ez-Pass account can be added to Quicken AND receive transactions through downloaded updates?
It would be very helpful to be able to keep track of my Ez-Pass transactions in Quicken and to know when funds are getting low and etc.

I looked in the FIDIR.txt file and found nothing that looked like them.I doubt if they are since, while they do hold your funds in advance to you expending them like a pre-paid debit/credit card, they aren't a financial institution.Have you looked on their website to see if they have any download capability available?-splasher using Q since 1996 - Subscription - Win10

I checked on the MD website and you can do a CSV download that you could then convert into a QIF file using ImportQIF (by Quicknperlwiz) and then import it, maybe the NYS site has the same capability. Not as straight forward as a .QFX file download, but depending on your ez-pass usage, it might be worth while.I use mine 4-5 times a year, so this is not an issue for me.-splasher using Q since 1996 - Subscription - Win10

I have a NC Quick Pass (works with EZ-Pass) and a CA Fasttrak. Both accounts allow for exporting CSV (or PDF) transaction files. Hopefully NY would allow the same.
Let us know if you decide to convert to QIF and importing to Quicken works for you.Quicken user since 1995

Thanks for all the replies. Based on the responses, I checked the NYS Ez-Pass website and found that I was able to download the transactions as .CSV. It’s not ideal but it appears to be the best option for getting the information into Quicken.0

For grins, I downloaded and converted a group of transactions for a short trip south from Maine last year. I used an Excel macro called XL2QIF.
I just set it up as a Cash account. Had to do some re-arrangement of the CSV columns because a lot of extra data was included. The conversion is probably more trouble than it's worth for the amount of travelling I do.Quicken user since 1995
