Quicken doesn't properly download my Amazon transactions at Synchrony Bank.

Downloading my Amazon transactions from their storage at Synchrony Bank fails on the Memo field. Instead of showing Synchrony's description of the transaction, Quicken just shows a string of numbers, the same string for every transaction. I have reported the problem to technicians who said they would request a fix, but months later there is no fix.

    Hi @quaife,

Have you checked your renaming rules?  It is possible that you've got a rule that is making those changes.  You could also look at your OFX log to see what is actually being received from the bank.

Also you might want to take a look at the recent thread (which I just found) for recent issues other users were having - https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7876497/unable-to-sync-with-synchrony-bank-credit-cards#latest

What do you mean by "fails on the Memo field."?

Note that the renaming rules look at the downloaded payee and the memo fields if they find a match they change the payee.

On the other hand if the problem is that the memo keeps getting changed then that is more likely in the memorized payees.  As in if a payee (downloaded one or the renamed one) matches one the memorized payee list it uses that memorized payee information to change the category and the memo if it has something in it.

If the problem is that the memo downloaded doesn't have what you think should be in it, well it is very common that what is downloaded in the payee and memo fields don't line up with what you see at the financial institution's website.  For instance a lot of them will combine the payee and memo into the payee downloaded.
