Can I "restart" an account from the beginning?

I've been using Quicken since 2002 to download transactions for a Vanguard 401K account. Over time, mainly due to missing transactions, corrupted downloads, and incorrect conversions, the balance and holdings of the account in Quicken no longer matches Vanguard.

So is there a way to start over, from a particular point in time, without losing all of the history? Thanks in advance for those with suggestions!

    Thank you for your response. When you say "move the transactions you'd like from the original account" are you suggesting moving them to the NEW account, or moving them somewhere as a backup?
