Why has it started asking me to open a backup file?
The software has started asking me to open a backup file to get started. Why is it doing that?

I am completely ignorant about what you have asked me although I know I have never deliberately enabled Controlled Folder Access in Windows. I used to automatically sync with Quicken but it has stopped asking me to do that. I use a thumb drive to backup my data.

Which folder do you keep your Quicken data file in? I know you backup to a thumb drive - do you also keep your Quicken data file there? or could it be on a network drive possibly?
