Quicken Check Pay should allow scheduling checks a full year into the future.

I think Reminders will already work for this purpose. You will get a notice of each payment on the Bills and Income tab and you can accept it manually or set it to automatically enter a selectable number of days before the due date. The only limitation is that for a monthly bill you would have to run Quicken at least once a month.QWin Premier subscription0

Setting a reminder isn't the same as scheduling a payment 3 months in advance. When I get my 4 property tax bills, I want to *schedule* eight payments immediately, the first halves for two months from now and the second halves for 5 months from now. Similarly, when I get my 6 different State Farm bills, I want to schedule them for two months in the future, when they're due. I don't want to have to take additional actions, even if I'm reminded to do it.2

Providing the user with a "better" service, BillManager vs BillPay, shouldn't result in the user having a more difficult time scheduling the payment of their bills.0

I switched my checking account to another bank two year ago so I coud use their bill pay with Quicken and get back all the features and reliability that disappeared with Quicken Check Pay.

Bill Manager Check Pay needs to be as robust as the current (but fading) Direct Connect with Bank Bill Pay service. Scheduling payments a year in advance is just one of many features needed.

Fully agree- there is no reason for Quicken to restrict checkpay payments - when will Quicken start listening to customers??

Not being able to schedule payments as much as 13 months in the future is a major detriment. This was available back in the days of Quicken Billpay. It should be brought back.

And what do you do when, 6 months into the year, the landlord raises your rent or adds some additional fee? What do you do with all the checks that have been queued up for printing already?
Wouldn't it be better to schedule a reminder, to execute on time every month? And if there is a change in the amount, the biller's mailing address, the memo text (your acct no. at the biller), you update the reminder and correctly schedule the next instance. No wasted checks, no mailing of incorrect checks, etc.
As to budgeting or planning future account balances: the scheduled reminders take care of all that without preloading your account register with tons of future-dated transactions, many of which may be incorrect.

@UKR - No. If that is your situation then don't schedule checks schedule reminders. I have several recurring charges (including rent) that do not change (and contractually cannot be changed). Scheduling checks a year in advance would be VERY beneficial here. We used to be able to do so with the old Quicken BillPay system. The new Quicken CheckPay lost that beneficial feature.
