After you record a check, the category you selected is removed

Quicken 2020 V R27.42 has been doing this for at least a couple months. Hoping Quicken looks into and fixes this bug.

    Haven't noticed this happening for me, and I'm on the same release.
    Please provide more details on how, exactly, you are recording this check.

    If you haven't rebooted Windows since you installed the latest software update, please do so now and then try Quicken again.
