Ability to manually match transactions on Quicken Mobile [edited]

Hello there,

My Quicken Mobile app automatically downloads transactions from my bank into my account register.

Is there any way to use Quicken Mobile to MATCH these newly-downloaded transactions to pre-existing transactions in my account, just like I can use Quicken Mac to match newly-downloaded transactions to pre-existing transactions on the Mac?

Thanks,
Scott

(Removed-Argumentative) I was asking if a particular feature from Quicken Desktop is available on Quicken Mobile. If anyone knows the answer, I am still looking for the answer. Thank you!

    Hello @Scott Rose

At this time there is no option to manually match two transactions via the mobile app.

However, I am unable to duplicate this scenario. If I have manually entered transactions in the mobile or desktop, at no point am I ever able to get the downloaded transaction and the manual transaction to display in the mobile unmatched.

If you are experiencing this, I would take a look at the troubleshooting steps above as it sounds like there may be an underlying issue.

    I hope this helps!

I’m with Scott. It is a thing. I have 2 transactions in my register on mobile that did not match. They are the same amount, but I entered the payee slightly different that what Quicken downloaded, so they didn’t “match”. There needs to be a way in Quicken Mobile to manually match transactions.

@Quicken_Tyka seems to be confused with my initial request.

Let me clarify in more depth about my situation:

Quicken matches downloaded transactions to manually-entered transactions perfectly fine in the vast majority of cases. So this isn't a "problem" or "bug" in Quicken that I'm trying to fix.

But if you travel internationally like I do, you have to “match transactions” all the time because of fluctuating currency exchange rates on a daily basis.

For example, I might enter in an international transaction as $10.03 USD, but when the transaction finally gets downloaded from my bank, the transaction finalized at $9.98 USD.

This is because of fluctuating currency exchange rates. Because of this, I have to continually match transactions on a daily basis whenever I’m doing international travel.

In other words, my manually-entered transactions are always off by a few cents from the transaction which was downloaded from the bank.

So "matching transactions" is a part of my everyday life in Quicken Mac.

Currently, there is no ability in Quicken Mobile to “Match Transactions”. Since Quicken Mobile now has the ability to download transactions from the Internet for us, I would really benefit from having this “Match Transactions” on Quicken Mobile.

If you could bring “Match Transactions” to Quicken Mobile, then I could do even MORE of my financial accounting with Quicken Mobile! :)

Alternatively, it would be very very cool if Quicken's automatic match feature gave us a "fluctuation range" of a few cents — so it would automatically match transactions if they were just a few cents off.

My problem is that I have transactions entered into the desktop were the payee was entered slightly differently. Therefore, they are not matching automatically. There needs to be a way to match manually on the mobile.

I'll add a Me Too here and up vote this idea. Right now in an account in the Quicken Web App I have two transactions, one is a repeating transaction and one is a downloaded transaction. They are the same date and the same exact amount and Quicken didn't match them. In the Mac desktop app I'd just drag either one on top of the other and they would merge into one transaction with the split categories from the repeating transaction. There is no way to do that on the Web app.

  • I would like to see the ability to match transactions manually in the Quicken mobile app as well. I usually end up needing to manually match transactions in Quicken for Mac because the downloaded Payee name changes every so often for certain transactions. I use reoccurring transactions to help plan what my budget is going to look like throughout the month. Some transactions also fluctuate. My biweekly pay isn't always the same due to various reasons such as overtime worked, so my income transactions don't always match either. Since I'm not always able to use my Mac, it would be extremely helpful to be able to make transaction matches via the mobile app.
