Getting new Mac after 8 years.

I use Quicken Starter 2020 (new one each year). How do I transfer the application and data and all the bank account information to the new computer?

To install Quicken, it's probably easiest to go to your account at quicken.com and download the installer.

To move your data file, go to menu File > Save a Backup. Note where you store it. Move the backup to the new computer via Dropbox, iCloud Drive, a thumb drive or any other method.

On the new computer, double click the backup file to restore it. The restored data file will contain all your account information and settings. There may be a few global settings that you need to re-set in Quicken > Preferences.  It is not recommended to move the actual data file as permissions errors can crop up.

Having said all that, if you use macOS Migration Assistant, it will probably take care of all of this for you.
