New mutual fund I bought won't update, as if it does not exist

Hey there,
I'm having problems with a new fund I just bought. The ticker symbol comes from the bank I bought it from but Quicken doesn't recognize the symbol. I have many funds from the same family name "nbc" but number 922 doesn't work in Quicken.
Could you please help and tell me what is wrong with this ?
Thanks a lot and have a nice Labor Day.

Hello @Danielle Dallaire
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community to report this issue, although I apologize you have not had any Canadian members visit this post as of yet.
I am running the Canadian edition of Home and Business R25.24, and I able to confirm that the fund NBC922 does not appear to be supported/listed as downloadable security.
I would recommend navigating to Help > Report a Problem to report that this fund is unavailable. This report will not receive a response but will help investigate this issue.
In the meantime, the security will need to be added and tracked manually.

Hi, @Danielle Dallaire - You said you bought it from a bank. Is the account the fund is held in a savings account or an investment account? Also, would you please provide a little more information like the fund name? And does the fund show up in the Security List (under Tools)?

OK, I found NBC922, a Cdn fund offered by NBI.But one of the other Cdn users is going to have to tell you how to input this into Q.I'm from the US, and don't know myself ... other than Cdn funds have a weird format in Q.Q user since DOS version 5

Hey, thanks to you both,
To answer the question, the name of the fund in English is NBI Conservative Portfolio. This is what the National Bank says about that fund :
NBI Conservative Portfolio
Category: Global Fixed Income Balanced Investor Series (NBC922).
I have had many mutual funds and stocks in the past, all in Investments accounts. I own Quicken since 1991.
There is something special about this fund though, I bought some in a non registered account and some in a CÉLI in French, which is registered, but not like a RRSP.
I started having problems with the first purchase, even before buying it a second time. So something is wrong with the symbol in my Quicken version.
And yes, I created it before adding it to my investment account. To hold the fund in both accounts, I had to change the name slightly so it would be different as to be tax free or not.
So I have 2 funds in the security list with the same symbol : NBC922.
It still doesn't download quotes for either.
Thank you for your help, I appreciate it.
Please forgive my English.

Hi, @Danielle Dallaire . I am assuming you are using the Quicken for Canada. Am I correct? Also, what version and revision of Quicken are you using? This can be obtained from Help > About Quicken.By the way, there is no need to apologize for your English. It is very good.

Thank you for your kindness.
You are correct.
I use Canadian version.
I am using the latest version, I looked this week and it said I already am using it.
Good night

Windows or Mac?I ask all these questions because there are people posting here with many different skill sets. Some are very knowledgeable with Windows, for others it is Mac, etc. I have made an inquiry to see if one of the Quicken Canada folks might be able to assist you (I am Quicken US and know little about the Canadian version). The more information about exactly what you are using can help to ensure that the right person(s) will be able to step in here. You have a good night, too.

We can't predict when one of the Q Cda SuperUsers will see this. The vast majority of this forum (and also of the SuperUsers) are U.S.Sorry, but you've just got to wait.NOTE that the SuperUsers are volunteers, so we can't even predict when they'll visit the forumQ user since DOS version 5

I created it before adding it to my investment account. To hold the fund in both accounts, I had to change the name slightly so it would be different as to be tax free or not.Personally, I discourage that two-as-one approach for US users, but I know some users use it effectively. Have you done so with other funds? (In the US program, the distinction between taxable and tax-deferred or non-taxable is at the account level. Properly managed, there is no need to have two distinct securities sharing the same ticker symbol.)
So I have 2 funds in the security list with the same symbol : NBC922.
In my US version, I attempted to add NBC922. Quicken offered NBC924 and NBC925. That suggests to me that there is an issue with the data supplier. I suspect that may carry over to the Canadian option as well. If so, the only solution is from the Support side to get their data supplier to provide that fund data. Nothing you or other users can do to help. Is this a fairly new fund out of NBC?
@Quicken_Tyka -- anything you can do to check on this?

Thank you for your response.
The fund dates from 2017. The fund number is from a series of diversified funds like Conservative, advanced, risky, etc. So 924 and 925 do probably exist.
In Quicken Canada, the reports don't show up right if only the account is taxable and not the the fund in the account. I've had investments in Quicken for 30 years and learned to "play" with it.
Hope somebody from Quicken Canada will look into my problem soon.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you.
I did create that security that way because I know how to create a bond, which is the same thing to do. They don't get upgraded through Quicken either.
So I will do as asked and report that problem.
Have a nice day
