The Investment Portfolio View provides the ability to include Securities AND Bank/Credit-Union held Money Market investments. However, the simplified Dashboard View only includes Securities -- if bank-held MM investments were include in this Dashboard View we would have a complete picture of our investments.

This regards accounts which have Account Intent on the Display tab of Account Details set to Investment or Retirement. These accounts and their assets can be included in the Portfolio, Performance and Allocation tabs of Investing but while the Account can be selected for inclusion in Dashboard, the asset(s) in the account are not included in the Dashboard. Whether this is a Dashboard bug, an oversight or intentional, it is something that should be corrected if for no other reason than to be consistent with how these types of accounts can be used in the other Investment views and reports. I voted for this. Here is a discussion thread regarding this: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/comment/20117054#Comment_20117054.

Hello All,
Thank you for taking the time to follow and vote on this Idea post.
Our team has been hard at work building this feature and would like your assistance with testing this new functionality.
If you are willing to help, please download and install an interim build, available here.
Once installed please test and let us know if the Money Market accounts now appear as anticipated in the Simple Investment Dashboard view.
Thank you,

SarahSorry for the delay in getting back to you regarding this. I downloaded and installed the interim build yesterday. In my test file I set up a Cash account with a cash balance and set the Account Intent to Spending. This account was not selectable for Dashboard and the cash balance was not included in Dashboard. So, this is good.I also changed the Account Intent to Savings and then to Asset with the same results. So that is as it should be, as well.I then changed the Account Intent to Investment which moved the account in the accounts list on the left side of the screen from Banking to Investing and grouped it with other non-retirement accounts. The Dashboard view did accurately include this account's cash balance. So, everything appeared to be correct.I then changed the Account Intent to Retirement which kept the account under Investing but grouped it with other retirement accounts. The Dashboard view did accurately include this account's cash balance. So, it appears that this interim build fixes this issue. It would be good to get more feedback from others. Maybe @jpbmass and @fun1000000 would download and install this interim build and test it, too? Their feedback would perhaps be more important than mine since they are the ones who identified this issue and they might look at it from a different perspective than I have.(QW Premier Subscription: R51.12 on Windows 11)
