Ability to excluded a particular transaction from any Quicken report

If I have set up a budget for payments on an account or a category, and I have a large transactions such as a loan payoff or refinance of some type, this skews the reporting. Normally it is the budget reports or the home page spending reports. I would like the option to mark a particular transactions, "Exclude from reports". This would allow my reports to function as intended, even when a large transactions comes through.

I think this would be very hard to implement.
What would I suggest is that you pick a different category for the large expense, and then exclude that category from the report.Signature:

Hello @Chris_QPW , thank you for your suggestion. That would work if I was only dealing with a category, but it would not work if it was for an account. The example I have is that I have budget amount to pay off on a auto loan, $400 / month. I decide to pull some money from a savings account and pay off the balance of the loan, $10,000. The budget report, and other spending reports show the $10,000 additional spend, since the account is included in my budget.
I don't want to remove it from the budget, since it showed activity prior to the payoff.
I'm not sure why this would be a hard feature to implement. They would only need to add an attribute to a transaction, "include_in_reports". The query for the data would then include additional filter to ensure that "include_in_reports" is true. That of course should be the default value.0 -
Let me rephrase that. I doubt they are going to add a new field to the transactions, add GUI selecting in reports, and do extra queries for a feature that up to now no one else has ever asked for. And even if they ever implemented it they certainly wouldn't give it much of a priority so by the time it was available your use case for it would be long gone.

I use a Tag I named "Exclude" for this. Then I customize the report not to include that tag.Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier Subscription on Win10 Pro.4
