Problem: "Enter valid amount" when I Reconcile but entry is accepted

When I Reconcile, for example a credit card, and enter an amount on the first Reconcile page for "charges" (or an amount on any other line), I get an error message to "enter a valid amount." This happens when I enter all dollar amount entries on the first page of the Reconcile process. After I enter an amount and get that error message, the amount appears correctly entered and I can proceed with the Reconcile. Why do I get that error message even though the amount is correctly entered and accepted by Quicken?

    When you fill out the Reconcile dialog for a credit card you cannot skip any of the data entry fields, especially Charge and Payments.
    However, you do not have to come up with the actual totals. Faking it out and entering "0" (zero) is good enough.
    What really matters is Ending date and Ending Balance.
