Audio-visual monthly summaries to supplement reports

Cast.app offers the ability to produce personalized audio-visual reports accessible on mobile and desktop. These would be a great addition to quicken for monthly summaries of spending and budgeting. This is a sample:

Please don't worry, this link is safe. I am a 10+ year user of quicken (now quicken for Mac) and a big fan of the product.

This seems like an extremely complicated feature to me.  Almost a whole product in itself.

The example already appears to  be  using Quicken data.  Why can't that continue as is?  How does the data get loaded into Cast?

Cast could read the data from the cloud. It could be accessible from a link either inside the mobile app or from the desktop app. The example is just a sample of what could be delivered in the Cast format.

It sounds like maybe I misunderstood the feature request.  I thought it was that Quicken should provide the same functionality.  But now it sounds like what you are saying is there is some kind of "Cast API" that Quicken can send its data to, and the customer uses Cast to view it.  Correct?

that is correct. the quicken data in the cloud would connect to the cast api and deliver the customized reports to quicken users either via an email link or a link in the mobile/desktop app. the casts are very lightweight and would play in the user's browser (or you could embed the browser in the quicken mobile app)

I don't think I would be interested in something else pushing advertisements for something I don't want. Plus, the spoken recap of monthly expenses went by way too fast. I'd rather read a report and focus on the things that I want to focus on.
