Can I download Historic Transactions?

I realize that Quicken Premier for Mac 2020 has automated routines to download x days of history. Is there a way for me to download ones older than that? If so, do I need to download data from each institution (in quicken format), and add to the account? How do I avoid duplicates? Do I need to add a reconciliation line to bring to zero at the end of the download?

I depends on the bank and what they allow you to download in QFX format. If you can download older transactions in QFX format, you should be able to import them into Quicken. I find the easiest way to handle it is to let Quicken create a new account for these transactions. Then drag and drop the non-duplicates from the new account to the existing account. When done, delete the new account. Be sure to have a good backup before you start.Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s5
