It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years to the day that I first made this program available:

The original use case was just to edit a QIF file to add the account name and type so that it could be imported into any account as this thread suggested:

Since then it has grown to have much more features. Even more than what is suggested in the first link above.
For the person using a supported version of Quicken they can import transactions from financial institutions that Quicken doesn't currently support, by doing a conversion from other formats into QIF or QFX.
For the person using an unsupported version of Quicken they can do their imports in QIF format.
The gift is that now this application is now completely free.
