QW2017 - get this error message, but works OK - You cannot create a new dataset...
I had been using Quicken 2006 for years. I had purchased Q 2017 in 2017 but never installed. I just installed it on new windows 10 computer and transferred my register data (dating back to 1997!!) It seems to be working OK, but when I boot up the software (2017) and when I'm backing up, I get this message box "You cannot create a new dataset or continue to perform your current task at this time. Please contact Quicken Support .... for help resolving". When I ignore/close this box, it all still seems to be working fine and all register content is up to date. When I contacted Quicken support, I was told that 2017 is no longer supported and I need to update to 2020 "subscription". Is anyone familiar with the error message I'm getting? If so, is there a way around or to eliminate it, and is my data at risk? I'd prefer to not move into the annual subscription model right now.
