Why does One Step Update duplicate entries in bank, credit card, etc. transactions?

For years, I enter my transactions "in real time" to keep "real time" balances. When I ran One Step Update, the transactions would be subsequently identified and then I'd reconcile the account.
Now, ALL transactions, after running One Step Update are DUPLICATED. I have to delete one of each transaction to keep an accurate balance.
What can I do to keep doing what I have been doing for years? Is there a setting or other fix?
Thank you, in advance!

  • Hello @Ed14

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. I do apologize for the issue you're having. I'm wondering here if your transactions may not be downloading with the downloaded ID attaching. In this case I think a good place to start would be to deactivate and reactivate the accounts. Once you've done this you may need to delete duplicates again but ideally we should be able to only need to do this once and then the next time we download we only see new transactions. I'll leave steps how to do so below

First thing I'll recommend is to save a backup to revert back to just in case. You can find how to do so down below.

Next we'll try deactivating all of the accounts. You can do so by following the article listed down below.

Once all the accounts are deactivated go ahead and follow the article here on reconnecting the accounts.

Once you get a chance try this out and let us know how it goes! Depending on what happens we'll see what we can try next.

    Thanks,
