Downloaded from bank not being remembered

I have been using Quicken for a very long time. Recently I got a new computer and installed Quicken on the new machine. I opened my existing Quicken file and all seemed fine, was able to download from the bank and so forth.
I then noticed there were some blank lines in my account meaning there are some register rows between the last entry and the next date.
I have tired a number of fixes with no success. Meaning I download from the bank, it comes into Quicken and then when I close and re-open Quicken, they are gone.
While I know it makes no sense, it is happening.

Has anyone else faced this and if so, what did you do?
I wonder if it is possible that it is a bad install and whether I should uninstall and reinstall? Just thought I would ask before going that route.
Thanks

    Hello @jbaker

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. I do apologize for the issue you're having. That is quite odd that you're having issues after moving computers you should just be the same. Do any sort of transactions save on the file or is it always the same thing each time you download the file? We can try completely reinstalling quicken to see if that may help. We'll want to do a qcleanui then reinstall the program. I'll leave steps down below.

Once you have run this we'll just want to reinstall the program which we can do from the article down below.

Once you've done this try opening the file again and see if we're able to get any downloads. If not let us know and we'll see what we can do next.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the suggestions. As it worked out my data file seems to be the culprit and I am back up and running.
