Missing Categories

    My one step update wasn't working and an agent reset things and then had me update the program. Two days later I noticed that categories were missing from some of my transactions and I called back and an agent tried two earlier backups and then said basically my file is corrupt even in these now and that the only way to move forward was to start a new file! I don't understand what happened! What has happened to all my data?! Why won't Quicken help me?
