I take you have let your subscription lapse, correct?

The Registration Reminders (I just call them ads) are the price you pay, they have made it quite clear that they aren't going to change that policy.  If you can get a copy of Quicken 2016 or 2017 it can read your Quicken Subscription data file.

  • These reminders take up 1/5 of my screen, I paid for this program.. good hard earned money!
  • I don't use online banking not even to sync balances.
  • I enter all my transactions by hand everyday like I have done for many years!

… I paid for this program.. good hard earned money! …

You paid for a license to use Quicken that had restrictions about its use when the subscription expired and you agreed to them when you agreed to the Terms Of Use when you installed Quicken.
To have bought the software, you would have the source code and could make any changes to it that you wanted and you would have paid millions of dollars for that purchase.
