error trying to print to pdf from Q Win 2017

I have quicken 2017, v R20.6, build 26.1.20.6 This last update changed my ability to print invoices to pdf. I now get this message: "the pdf file that you want to replace is in use by another application. Please close that application and try again." I'm not trying to replace the file, I'm trying to save a new pdf, and there is no other application open.

If you are using the Quicken PDF printer driver I suggest trying the Windows 10 one instead.

If you haven't already, I suggest you hide the Preview pane in Windows File Explorer: press Alt + P.

If the issue persists, I suggest you perform a clean uninstall, install while disconnected from the internet, and update of Quicken 2017.  If you haven’t already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/using-qcleanui-uninstall-quicken  To update Quicken, I recommend you download and apply the Quicken 2017 R20.5 Mondo Patch: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html

To prevent Quicken from applying an update without your approval, I suggest you set Windows UAC settings appropriately (choose default or always notify).

thank you both for responding. On the print drop-down I chose microsoft print to pdf, which worked fine. Perhaps next Quicken update will fix the bug that made the option of "quicken print to pdf" unusable

You are using an unsupported version of Quicken, in theory there shouldn't be any more updates.  Why the sent one recently is a mystery to all.
