How can I delete all transactions from an account ...

My one checking account is a mess.
I want to start over by deleting all transactions from that account and import replacement downloaded QXF transactions from the bank.
I can do a do a select all and delete, but I keep getting a bunch of 'are you sure' messages about deleting a cleared (R) transaction.
I know Quicken is just trying to protect me from myself!
Am I just asking for trouble? There are 1400 transactions.
I'm sure there are things happening that I don't know about.
Like, what happens to the transfers to/from another account?
Is there a better way to do this? Or bad idea?
Thoughts?
Thanks

Probably the easiest way would be to just delete the entire account then create a new one. Doing this will break transfers which will be shown as unlinked in the other account.

Before anybody gives an incorrect answer ...
You have categorized this question to a category for Quicken Mac.
    Your signature states Windows 10.
Which is correct? Quicken for Windows or Quicken Mac?
The answer to your question is different for each operating system

My guess is Quicken Windows, because I don't think Quicken Mac developers would have an stupid interface that asks on every single transaction if you want to do something like is true in Quicken Windows (both in a delete and a move, and that is why we have to have a FAQ that tells people to use copy instead of move in Quicken Windows to move transactions between accounts).

At any case even though @RickO is a Mac user, his answer is basically the same for a Windows user.  Deleting the account and recreating it is the fastest, but it will mean messing up the transfers to other accounts.  In the case of Windows they other account will get [Unspecified Account] for the category in the transfer transactions in the other accounts.

P.S.  The other way to do this would be to first select all the transactions and use the menu option to change the reconcile state so that it isn't R.  And then do the same and use delete.

    OK ...
    Regarding the [Unspecified account] ...
Is that message issued when you delete transactions, or when you delete the whole account?
Either way, I figure I will have to spend time to match up and correct the transfers.
I need to spend more time reviewing the FAQ's.
    Thanks for that tip ...

[Unspecified Account] is what happens to the other side of a transfer transaction, it isn't a message.

Say you are deleting "Checking", and it has a transfer to "Savings"
In Checking that transaction will have a category of [Savings].
In Savings that transaction will have a category of [Checking].

If you delete the account the transactions in Savings will have a category of [Unspecified Account].

But now that I think of it, if you instead change the reconcile state of the transactions in "Checking" and then delete them, what will happen is different.  The transfer transactions will be deleted both in "Checking" and in "Savings".   No [Unspecified Account] in that case because the transaction will be completely gone.

    This is getting deep!
Not sure what I will do.
Actually, both accounts are checking accounts, and I can't delete the 2nd checking account.
I think I will try just deleting the bad account (instead of transactions) in a test environment and see what happens.
