After signing out as per the instructions on this post, Quicken just shut down never allowing me to try to sing in again with my usual credentials. I re-launched Quicken but as it opened my data file it immediately crashes and I am no longer able to work with the software. Guys I have the last 21 years of financial activity in this file and it is imperative to get this fixed as I have some transactions I need to record today.

    Hello @Sigfrido Garcia,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community to tell us about your issue, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.

If you haven't already, I suggest that you perform a clean uninstall/reinstall (this is different from simply uninstalling and reinstalling the program) which will clear out and replace the existing configuration files for Quicken (this does not affect any of your data and/or backup files).

To do so, please refer to this support article and scroll down to the section titled If the steps above do not resolve the issue. Then, open and follow the instructions found in the blue dropdown sections titled First: Download and use QCleanUI and Second: Rename Quicken Shared Folders.

Let us know how it goes!

Anja, thank you for the prompt response, it is most appreciated.

Actually, what I ended up doing was restore a Quicken data file backup that I had taken earlier yesterday and once I completed that, I managed to get Quicken working as expected. I immediately performed a validation of that file and as far as I can tell everything looks fine to me.

    Thank you again,

    Sigfrido
