why do I have the wrong website for One Step Update?

I have a credit card from a financial organization for a major chain store. I have performed one step update for the credit card account in the past but now I cannot do it because the website that appears on the Activate One Step Update screen is the website for the major chain store and not the financial organization. I don't see how to change the website to the financial org that has my credit card account and issued the card. In the Account Details screen for this credit card account, the correct website for the financial org is in the home page and activity page boxes. Can someone tell me how to correct this problem? How to change the website for One Step Update? Thank you.

If you haven't already, please take a moment to review the steps and information available here:

Quicken Uses Incorrect URL for Online Banking.

This article covers steps for verifying that the URL used is incorrect. If the URL is incorrect, the financial institution will need to report this URL change to the Quicken financial services provider through their account manager.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

Have you tried this yet (if your bank recently changed their website or password requirements)?

How to refresh financial institution information (Branding)

Please read and follow instructions here:
How do I refresh my financial institution information in Quicken?

If that doesn't resolve the issue:

    • It is the bank's or biller's contractual obligation to notify their Quicken download service provider, Intuit, of any changes to their websites and download functions in a timely manner before the change is implemented. Intuit needs a sufficient amount of lead time to review, change and test their programs, to adapt to the changes the bank makes.
    • The bank also needs to notify their customers of this change in a timely fashion and any actions that might be required by the customer to regain access after the change was introduced.
    • If they didn't do that, complain to your bank's upper level management.
    • Also contact Quicken Support via Chat or Phone at https://www.quicken.com/support#contact-support  and report this Online Banking issue, so that Intuit Inc. can be notified of the issue.  Ultimately, however, the bank must work together with Intuit on solving this update issue.

Please let us know if you were able to get this issue resolved (or not).

I actually stopped reading when you don't share the exact names of the card & bank - so we can look at the Quicken info and see what downloading features are avail....

Ps56k2, The major chain store is Menard's. The financial institution is Capital One. They own the credit card for Menard's. In the Online Center, I see my Quicken account for Menard's in the Transactions section. At the top for the financial institution is selected Menards Credit Card. The financial institution Capital One is not in the drop down list. I'm confused with this; don't know why and don't know how to fix it. My Menard's account used to work correctly. Any help is certainly appreciated. Thank you.

This message also answers UKR. Thanks to UKR also.

tnx for the info - Here is the Quicken entry - and yes, it looks like the Menards card is handled by Capital One.

Thanks Ps56k2. However, I need to use https://menards.capitalone.com/ for One Step Update but it uses http://www.menards.com. On my Account Details screen, I see https://menards.capitalone.com/ is the website for Home page and Activity page. Near the top of the window, I see the Financial Institution is Menards Credit Card. The Online Setup in the Online Services window does not work because it thinks the financial institution is Menards Credit Card (www.menards.com) and it asks for the user id and password for that website. I don't see where or how to change the website for One Step Update from www.menards.com to https://menards.capitalone.com/. As I mentioned earlier, I thought this used to work properly then suddenly One Step Update started using www.menards.com. Thanks.

What makes you think that OSU is using the wrong web portal -
what happens when you trying using OSU - errors or messages ?
    Just to clarify -
The entries listed on the Account Details are merely informational and not used for OSU.... all of mine are blank.
The URL actually used is from the FILIST as detailed below - and in this case, the protocol is Express Web Connect,
so a third party proxy is performing the actual download....

Hi Ps56K2. Thanks again. Yes I understand the 3 web pages you pasted above are info only. What I don't understand is the FILIST you mention. Where do I see/change that? I say OSU is using the wrong web portal because it is using the portal for the store chain (http://www.menards.com) which is not the financial institution. The financial institution which owns the credit account is https://menards.capitalone.com/. OSU uses the store chain web portal and tries to sign on with my credentials which are for the credit card financial institution for portal https://menards.capitalone.com/. Of course I get a signon error because my signon credentials are for the credit card financial institution. OSU needs to use web portal https://menards.capitalone.com/ but I don't know how/where to change it. Thanks again.
