Keyboard shortcut for marking a transaction as reviewed

There needs to be a keyboard shortcut for marking a transaction as reviewed. This functionality has already been added to the Mac version of the program. It's tedious to go through a long list of transactions and have to click on the blue dot in the status column then click on Mark this transaction as reviewed.

  • Users with hand mobility issues will be very thankful if/when this is implemented!

Hmmm ... I can't verify this myself right now, because I don't have any new transactions to download, but one of the Community moderators sent me an image showing that the requested function already has been implemented.
In a newly downloaded transaction which shows the blue dot as Status, click the Status field.
You should receive the popup above, with the option to mark all new transactions as reviewed with a single click.
Please check and verify in your version of Quicken for Windows.

@UKR the moderator doesn't understand the idea.  The request is for a SHORTCUT, as in a key combination, not clicking with the mouse.

And how long do you think, it's going to take before the programmers get around to implementing this keyboard shortcut? Next time there are three blue moons in a row? The year 2100?
While we wait for this event to happen, I'm pointing out that we have an easy to use 2-click shortcut.

I'm pretty sure that everyone in this thread knows to click the New icon to see the review menu.  It is the only way of doing it.  There isn't even an item on the context menu for reviewing transaction (but there should be!).

Just so people know here is what I do to take the pain out of marking each reviewed.  But note this really depends on if want to mark some off and not others.

What I do is review each (just looking at them) to make sure they have the right categories and payees.  Correcting anything are wrong.  Then I run a reconcile.  Reconciling a transaction will mark it as reviewed.

Note this is different from the way Quicken Mac does it.  If you reconcile in Quicken Mac it doesn't mark it reviewed, they are separate processes.

This has its advantages and disadvantages.  For instance for Quicken Windows users they should never use automatic transaction entry mode and automatic reconcile together.  Automatic reconcile only cares about the amounts and not the payees or categories.  And it will run after the download and clear all of the status (New/New Match) fields.

As you say @UKR who knows when they will get around to implementing this, but I will state as a programmer this is a trivial thing to implement.
