Quicken will not accept Transactions

I have multiple SOLD transactions in an account. Quicken will not ACCEPT ALL. It wants detail of the cost basis of the one or more of the sales - average or lot. Instructed to click on each transaction, click ACCEPT, and then select average or lot number. Good in theory but selecting any transaction ACCEPT and EDIT are greyed out. Now stuck.

Close and relaunch Quicken and problem resolves. Most transactions are already accepted and the few remaining can be accepted by following the wizard.

This is a bug that has been introduced in a recent Quicken Update. Not in earlier versions.

Windows subscription with latest update.

Software updates have been known to change our preference settings.  If you haven't already, you may want to review the Lot Assignment Options for the investment accounts: select Edit > Preferences...

Let's do some "Troubleshooting 101" to ensure the Quicken software is installed and updated properly and that your data file is in good working order. Crashes or killing Quicken may damage the file.
Please perform all the steps in this document in the order specified, even if you have done some of them before:
