Adding Square Account (CC-501)

I'm trying to add my Square account to QHBR Windows, but have been getting the "CC-501" error over multiple days. Ideas?

    Hello @Craig in La,

Thank you for reaching out to Quicken Community. I apologize you are having this issue. To better assist you I need more information. Could you clarify what you are referring to by Square account? Is that a type of account or the name of your financial institution? Also, what connection method are you using? What version of Quicken are you using?

To check the version being used select Help >About Quicken.

Once more information is provided I can attempt to recreate the issue on my end and move towards diagnosing the issue at hand.

  • I’m having the same problem. “Square” is the Square credit card reader and payment processing system (https://squareup.com/). When searching for the account to add, I find “Connect to Square.” I assume that this is the correct “Square” because the selection presented shows “squareup.com”. Whenever I have keyed in my Square User ID and password over the last several weeks, each time I have received the “CC-501” error.

    Hi @BriscoesBuddy

That error indicates a problem - usually with the financial institution.  Since you are trying to connect Square as a new connection, you should wait 24 hours and then try to complete the connection again.  If the account still doesn't connect, you'll need to contact Quicken Support so they can review your log files and provide more assistance.  Here's the Customer Support LINK.

Let me know how that goes.
