What is the current publicly released version of Quicken that is not in staged release?

Is there someplace in the community that displays the current public release version of Quicken and not the versions that are in staged release and never went public?

I believe that Quicken does not update this link until the fully release a version:

Evidently staged releases that never went public are posted there as well.
To date, no R34.xx release has been made public as far as I can determine.

    Release Notes

Release R34.16 (US Versions, June 2021)

Release R34.15 (US Versions, June 2021)

Release R34.13 (US Versions, June 2021)

Release R33.24 (US Versions, May 2021)

Release R33.22 (US Versions, May 2021)

Release R33.19 (US Versions, May 2021)

Release R33.7 (Canada Versions, May 2021)

For example, look at release 34.16.
It never went public and yet is posted.
"Quicken for Windows (US) HF2, R34.16 is now being made available in staged release format to a limited number of users.

    What's included:
    • Fixed: An issue related to antivirus blocking in which Quicken was unable to open files for some users and would request that they install "Quicken 2004".
    • Fixed: An issue in which accounts were not properly included in Saved Reports for migrated data files.
    • Fixed: An issue in which customers were unable to exit Quicken after a manual backup.
This release is currently paused and unavailable for download in Quicken.'

If I'm correct, the last release that seems to have gone public is R33.24.
    Just trying to verify.
"Windows release version R33.24 (HF2) is now being made available in staged release format to a limited number of users.

    What's included:
    • Fixed: An issue that was causing crashes during the One Step Update process.

Once the release has been taken by the target number of Users it will be paused and no longer available to install from directly within Quicken.

If you would prefer not to wait until the release has gone live to all Users, it is also available by downloading and installing the Mondo Patch, available here.

    Thank you!

(UPDATE 6/1/21 - R33.24 has been released live to all Users and is now available for download directly within Quicken, Help > Check for Updates)"

I wish staged release announcements would also mention the current public release and eliminate the need to have to search for the current public release.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I think the question really "What version will automatically download if one reinstalls and doesn't get a staged release version?"

I'm not sure about that since a public release has an announcement that states that they have gone live to all users (see 33.24 above), while staged releases state that they have been paused if they are not released as public  and have been paused for future access (see 34.16. above).
For example, staged release 34.16 has never been announced as gone live to the public but has been paused.

Yes.  That's a good way of describing the question.  Thanks.

I agree.  But the only way I found this out is to drill into each release announcement to determine which version was that last public release instead of a staged and then paused release.
Is there any easy way to determine this?

I have always relied on the Mondo Patches.  If you hover your cursor over the link you will see the URL which includes the release number.  The Mondo Patch links are not updated with any staged releases...at least I have never seen that happen.  I've only seen the Mondo Patch links updated when a new version is officially (publicly) released.  The link was updated just this morning to R33.24 R34.24 and today is the first time that R33.24 R34.24 is available to everyone.
[EDIT] - corrected the Release number... easy to confuse old R33.24 with new R34.24

R34.24 is not publicly released for all users:
"This release is currently paused, however if you would like to install R34.24 before it is released live to all Users, please download and install the Mondo Patch available here."

It really is hard to tell what is paused, staged, or public - I'm still on the older R33.24....
With the R34.xx releases - there have been FIVE - yes FIVE hotfixes to fix problems created by each fix for fixes.

Agreed.  I am on 33.24 as well.
The only way I've been able to determine what has been released for all users versus staged then paused is to access each major version announcement.  Examples:

Although it is not described as such, it seems that a version that has been released for all users is considered to be more stable than those that have been staged, paused and never released for all users.

No, R34.24 is not currently paused.  That link you posted was dated 7/20 (yesterday) and it was still paused as of then but as of this morning it is released and the current Mondo Patch link reflects that and is available for anyone to download and install.

@Boatnmaniac Mondo patches are also available for paused releases that have not been released for all users.  I am waiting for the announcement that R34.24 has been made available for all users.  Maybe it is coming.   The post was for 7/20 and has not been updated to reflect it is available to all users.

    "How do releases work?
Releases are made available in stages.
Once a new release has completed beta testing, it is made available to a limited number of Users.

When the release has been accepted by the target number of users, it is then paused while we listen for feedback or issues from the larger group of Users.

If no issues are reported, the release will move into the second stage and be made available for a larger group of users and we will again pause the release while we listen for reports of issues or problems.

If none are found, at this time we will make the release "live" and available for all Users."

I see that I should have used the term "available to all users" instead of "publicly released".  It may have confused the issue.

Mondo Patches are always available to everyone to download and they are always and only the latest general released version.  The limited staged releases are never made available as Mondo Patches.
As I said before, if you want to see what the latest general released version is you can go to https://www.quicken.com/support/patching-updates-windows and bring your curser over the Mondo Patch link.  You will see the version of the Mondo Patch in the URL and that version will be the latest general release version...every time.

Just because a release is available in Mondo manual patch form, doesn't imply that it is the latest release available to all users as an automatic download.

At one time the latest Mondo release did correspond with the latest release that would be automatically downloaded, but that changed when problems came up from this policy.

Most of the time if one machine/data file has one release installed and another machine using a copy of that  data file has a different release installed there isn't a problem.  But that isn't always true, and in fact that is exactly what happened.  There was release where it was critical that each machine/program that was opening a given data file have the same release.  Not to mention if a release changed something in the data file that wasn't backwards compatible.

Imagine a person gets the staged release on one machine, but not on another, and they do copy the data file between the two machines. Or maybe there is a change to the data file that requires the latest release after it has been installed.  And for whatever reason the user has to reinstall and they don't get the latest staged release.

Since that point in time, the policy of not putting out the manual patch until it was released to everyone was changed to it coming out almost immediately (at least for the US version).

By the description above it seems that they might have introduce yet another "phase" where for a very short period of time there is just the "staged release" and a Mondo patch, which is only linked to the release announcement.  And then usually within a few days the next stage is hit and they not only release automatically to a bigger group they also update the main release page: Update and Mondo Patch: Subscription Release of Quicken for Windows

But the updating of this page doesn't imply that everyone is going to get the update presented to them through the automatic update.

And I know of no way to determine what that "released to all" version is other than looking at the announcement like this one:

Or reinstalling and seeing which one you get, hopefully not while a staged release is at the moment going out to people.

yeah - this situation is really nuts..... We can't even tell which of the many hotfix releases is the current "public" release.
I am still on the old R33.24 - and even though today I did the ... Help --> Check for Updates - and R34.24 was made avail... I'm waiting until it is actually ANNOUNCED - and I see more feedback.
The whole Install, Update listing, Check for Updates process is so broken..... not just the software that requires FIVE fixes to fix the fixes - but everything surrounding the process... forced auto install not prompting unless UAC used, no real listing of what is actually current, and even if you are given a Check For Updates new version.... is it a new Staged - or is it now Paused - or is it really the full Public version.

Oops! I forgot all about Check for Updates, that in fact would be the way to know the release that is "for all users" (with the narrow exception if you hit the window where they are sending out a staged release).

I tried Check for Updates and it came back with "There is a newer version R34.24 available..."
Even though R34.24 is paused for downloads according to the release announcement.

I did the check for updates yesterday morning around 7:30 a.m. and it told me R34.24 was available for download/update at that time.  I then checked the Support page and the Mondo Patch link there was for R34.24 so I downloaded and installed it.
I would not place so much trust in the authority of just about any post made in this forum when it comes to what is engineering released and what is not.  This forum lacks any kind of actual engineering authority.  On the other hand, I would be totally shocked if the Support page does not have that necessary engineering authority tied into it in some way.
In my mind this was not an issue where the Support page released R34.24 too early (i.e., when this forum says it was still paused).  The issue is that the announcement in this forum was not updated yesterday to say R34.24 was released yesterday.  There is no point in getting bent out of shape over what someone did or did not post in this forum.  Other than as a FYI nothing posted in this forum has any real engineering authority of any kind.

I will still wait for the announcement from the Quicken moderator on this forum that says a release is live for all users as it is the only place I've located so far that gives that information.

Available for download does not mean live for all users as prior versions that were never made live for all users are available for download.

Where is the URL from the support page that states this release is live for all users?
    I could not locate it.
Please explain how you were able to determine that this version was live for all users prior to the announcement update in the forum.
