Why don't you provide a detailed bill that includes subscription and the tax?

Nowhere in your subscription renewal did you list the taxes you charge.

    Hello @Carl_McMillan

Thank you for reaching out to Quicken Community. I apologize you are having this issue and for the confusion. The reason taxes were not listed is that they vary from state to state. Therefore, the baseline price is listed and once additional information is provided tax is factored in.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

I'm just waiting for the tax and legal experts to come out of the woodwork and put their 2¢ in ...
IMHO, if you charge Sales Tax, you really should be listing it as a separate line on any invoice you create, similar to Quicken Customer Invoices:

  • All I got was an email the stated the renewal and the total amount charged on my credit card. A previous email stated that the quicken renewal was $51.99. the total charged on my credit card was $56.28 which makes for $4.29 sales tax.

Did you order Q for downloading, or did you have a CD sent to you?

  • I have a subscription for Quicken Deluxe, I get regular updates, I pay for the subscription once a year. current version is R34.24 Subscription is good until July 24, 2022. My original install was from a Quicken CD.
  • Yeah why is sales tax not noted anywhere? You should at least say base price + additonal sales tax rather than tell us once price and charging us another. I budget for one price and then it comes out higher. You should be transparent in this.
