Post-validation: a message to fix the categories

After I finish a validate, I have been getting an error about categories need to be "fixed". I see no more specific information but I did notice that most of the descriptions for the categories absorbed text from some transaction memos. When the problem first occurred I had to spend hours fixing the corrupted database.
Why can't Quicken provide more help or examples with the errors it finds?
