Turn off "Scheduled Updates"

Periodically I want to turn off all scheduled updates. This sometimes occurs when I go on vacation and leave my computer on for various reasons. I've "jury rigged" a solution. However, it would be nice option to turn off all scheduled updates.

How about Tools > Schedule Updates and uncheck all days that are selected?

That doesn't seem like too much trouble. Often there are no updates on weekends, so that would be 5 boxes to check or un-check.

Sorry - nope. Quicken's logic path is FUBARed on this one. Whenever you logically uncheck all days and select OK you get "You must select at least one day and time to schedule an update." There's no clear path to remove ALL scheduled updates by unchecking all the days and there's no option for "None." The programmers who thought this logic up need a course in UX design for sure. It's a bug in quicken that needs to be fixed. Other's have complained several times there's no way to turn off this once you ever set it on.

Actually... I tried one more "path/option" and it seems to have taken it.

    a) You must uncheck all accounts
    b) You must uncheck "update quotes asset classes" (which I had been leaving checked)
    c) You must uncheck all the days of the week
    d) Select OK

That was accepted. So I assume "Scheduled Updates" are off now. Stay safe, stay alive. Peace.

That does seem like a lot of trouble. Either allowing all the days to be un-checked or adding one checkbox to enable/disable all the updates would certainly make this simpler.
