All Direct Connect Passwords Removed [Edited]

Quicken for Windows updated my version from R35.31 to R36.23. All of my saved passwords for Direct Connect method for downloads disappeared (it did not affect the Express Web Connect accounts). When I tried a One Step Update, there was an opportunity to enter and save the missing passwords for the respective accounts (AMEX, Chase, Citi, etc.). When I entered the passwords and tried to update, it took me into an endless loop saying that I needed to enter the passwords for these accounts. I was locked into this experience with no way out. My only workaround was to deactivate each account, then reactivate each account saving the password to the vault.


This is the second time in the past 6 months that I have lost all of my Direct Connect passwords as a result of a Quicken update. There is a bug in the process. It took me over an hour to get my set up back in order each time. Not to mention the few hours spent on a chat with Quicken Support.
