Where does Quicken save preferences?

Where does Quicken save preferences?  Are preferences per datafile or per Quicken program?  If preferences are not saved in the datafile where are they saved?

Quicken saves preferences in three places.
    1. Data file.
    2. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Quicken
    3. C:\ProgramData\Quicken
Most of them are in the data file, but certainly not all of them.  For instance the width of the Account Bar isn't in the data file.  Neither is the size and position of the main window.

@Chris_QPW , by any chance do you know which file maintains the position of the OSU popup window, if editable?  Mine annoyingly splits between my two monitors and I have not figured out how to resolve it yet.  On my old laptop I can reposition the OSU and it gets memorized, but not on the newer one.  TIA.

I don't have Quicken.ini in that folder.  But I do have it in C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Config\QUICKEN.INI ?

Oops sorry, typed the wrong file name:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Quicken\config\QUSER.INI

Thanks.  Have been playing with that file (height, width, top, left).  It does manage the position and size of the main Quicken window but unfortunately not the OSU settings popup window.  My guess is that it is my graphics driver issue.

Sorry, missed that you are talking about the One Step Update dialog.  For windows/dialogs that are in Quicken if their location is being saved at all it would be in the data file.  But most of them, they aren't saved.  Their position is determined dynamically and Quicken is terrible dealing with multiple monitor setups.
Quicken has always "violated" the GUI standards that say to long lived windows should have their position/size saved.

There is most likely no problem at all with your graphics driver.

My One Step Update Window location isn't saved either.  It will remember the location while Quicken is running, but not after it is restarted.

@Chris_QPW , Thank you. I was trying understand what settings would have to be reset if I bought a new subscription for a prior datafile, such as the backup schedule, for example.   I was hoping most of the preference settings would be in the datafile.
