Add renaming Rule for Investment action based on Memo

I need automation for batch processing for Investment transactions to make specific changes to investment action type based on Memo content
also, make other batch changes or replacements based on specified condition

Find/Select by memo already exists, so what you're asking is to change the Investment Action in a Find/Replace.
I strongly suspect that such would be a HORRENDOUS effort, with only you calling for such change.
I doubt it will happen.  And I'd vote against it if I could.

Could I trouble you to "make a business case" for this change request? What specific situation do you encounter so frequently that you need to batch-change investment transactions? What are these transactions about and why do you need to make changes? Some examples would be helpful.

    extra info

one of brokers doesn't export transactions correctly, where ReinvDiv exported as Buy with Memo as Earnings
I need a way to change all Transactions with Memo Earnings from Buy to ReinvDiv

all transactions for this case have to be ReinvDiv , but comes as Buy with Memo as Earning
so, I'm looking a way to automate it somehow instead make change for each transaction in quicken manually, very time consuming
while some transactions are real Buy and Memo is empty, that is only way I know which is which

    hello,

    I updated this post https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7902144/how-to-change-investment-action-based-on-memo-value
    with details and examples

please, let me know if more details are needed

I'm looking at Quicken as real analytical tool that should help for finance and assets analyzes, forecast, planning, guidance on top of "plain" on-line download bank transactions
as result ability to use my Quicken data / DB with User defined rules to manipulate "my" / User data is normal functionality for modern analytical tool
this can differentiate Quicken from other solutions in this area big time IMHO
also, it will close some gaps vs CFP tools, I've used many and no tool so far provides 360 functionality for me
it's above current topic - let me know directly if anyone on Quicken side would like to talk to me for this matter

    thanks
    Best Regards
