Allow foreign taxes to be entered on Dividend Reinvest dialog

When reinvesting dividends from a foreign stock or ADR, it isn't possible to enter the amount of foreign tax paid. This means that users have to enter 2 separate transactions - one with the dividend and tax paid, and a second that is the purchase of new shares with the remaining funds. It would be great to add the Misc field onto the Reinvestment dialog, and have that amount removed from the total to be reinvested. I'm running on Windows.

Anyway you cut it, I believe three transactions are required.
Either:
1) Reinv net div for shares
2) Div for Foreign Tax withheld
3) MiscExp for Foreign Tax withheld to specified category
Or
1) Div for Gross div received including portion withheld
2) Buy shares for Net dividend received
3) MiscExp for Foreign Tax withheld to specified categoryUsers might have a preference for one set vs the other.Seems like a reasonable idea to investigate.1 -
When I held a foreign stock ... I used option 1.

Such a simple suggestion. Need the Misc box. The reinvest dividends does not work. You need to receive dividends and deduct tax as normal and then buy shares from the Dividend amount less commission.0
