Fidelity Net Benefits 401k balance doubled, and then cash only, new quicken file, reproducible

Intuit has been unresponsive to problem reports as well as this thread. I started using Personal Capital. Many great features, top notch dashboard and yes... it's not Quicken but it is free! Great reviews, worth consideration. There's a good number of IOS products, less for Windows. Perhaps we'll get some attention if we start posting competitive product reviews?0

Any update on this?0

I accomplished correct balance: Here hoping it stays
- Change Account to "Complete - Positions and Transaction"
- delete xIn of cash amount transaction (which doubled balance)
- then I switch it back to simple. Balances stayed
Note: I start over with new account setup. See if it stays for next months update.0 -
I found, at least a few updates ago. that after a few 'one step updates', the cash amount would come back. I'll be interested in hearing how this works out for you. Good luck!0

I did the same thing as jeffgsatx and then the cash balance did come back after a few updates... What does it take for Quicken to fix this issue.0

Talked to Quicken support again today -- they say it is on Fidelity's side, and we need to wait. Honestly, considering 2 other issues that I am being told to wait on, that 'are on the other side' I'm not sure what to believe. It's been 6 months on the other issues, and I feel like there is no sense of urgency or care. I'll be calling on Monday to discuss what my options are.0

I am also having the same issue. Has anyone found a fix or been contacted by Quicken with an estimated timeline?0

I have discussed with Quicken on at least 4 occasions. They are pointing back to Fidelity, and state that it is Fidelity's issue to resolve. Fidelity states, per others posting here, that it is a Quicken issue. We seem to be stuck in limbo.0

Just started a completely new file and having this issue every time I update the 401(k). Interestingly, another Fidelity investment account seems to work fine so not sure what the difference is in how they are working. Not the biggest deal to have to zero out the cash balance on every update, but pretty annoying. Any update on this?0

I have the same problem with my Fidelity NetBenefits account. I just sent in a request via Quicken>Help>Report a Problem with a description and a link to this chat.0

This issue has been opened since December. I have see some responses where Quicken has us to call Fidelity. Why is Quicken not working with Fidelity if they feel it is there issue?0

I submitted a report again today, this time referenced @Beelzy 1/27/22 comments and copied the findings into the report.0

Any update on this? Not a big deal to zero out the extra cash entry, but then Quicken then shows a massive investment loss (because of manually zeroing out the value of the entire account).0

New user to Quicken here. I ran into same issue as soon as I started using it. Fidelity 401k amount is doubled because of the cash value issue. Tried all the solutions in this thread, nothing worked. I can't believe this issue has been going on for almost a year. I should have believed the reviews about quicken that it's an archaic and outdated software. Will be cancelling the subscription and get my money back.0

I know this has been happening to me since December 2021. I just reported the issue to Quicken via the desktop app which I believe others have done with no luck. I told them that I know this is not a Fidelity issue since I created a new Test Data file with only my Fidelity accounts and it does not create the Cash account of the actual value of the Fidelity account which causes it to show a value of Double of what it actually it is.0

Does anyone know how we can escalate this bug to Product Management? Tech Support seems to have no clue, and it has been, as you say, over a year. Above, someone already partially debugged it possibly. I'm coming up on renewal, and seriously looking to see if there are other options out there..... And I've been using this software for at least a decade+.0

Had to start a new Quicken file today due to accumulated errors with downloads over the past several months. I was really hoping that "the bright side" would be no longer having this problem where the NetBenefits account doubling on every update. Wrong! Brand new file, just added Fidelity NetBenefits. Shows my holdings and then the same amount of cash. Set cash to zero & re-update, back to where I started.1
